Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport - Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will meet your Tanzania Specialist guide who will transport you to your first hotel. The rest of the day is yours to get acquainted with Arusha as you wish!

This trip is an exclusive private safari. Not only does this means that you receive the expert guidance of a private travel expert, but when it comes to the itinerary – you are in charge. Whether you’re an early bird or just not a morning person, walk through your plans with your guide on day one.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After a fantastic night’s rest in your luxury Arusha hotel, your guide will pick you up in the morning and head to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. The Tarangire National Park is one of the most authentic safari destinations in the country, with fewer tourists than major hotspots nearby. Home to the world’s largest concentration of elephants, herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen around the Tarangire River, drinking or enjoying a mud bath.

There are a few reasons to get your cameras ready for Tarangire. Besides the herds of wild African animals, enjoy the iconic landscapes of Tanzania: rolling hills scattered with grand Baobab trees against the impossibly blue sky.

Day 3-4: Serengeti National Park

Today you continue your safari to the Serengeti National Park. Perhaps one of the most famous African national parks, its stunning landscapes are often seen as the backdrop to some of the world’s best nature documentaries. It’s not hard to see why. The Serengeti’s endless plains and abundance of wildlife are unsurpassed. The annual Great Wildebeest Migration with more than a million migrating wildebeest, zebras and gazelles is a true wonder to behold.

Together with your private guide, you will look for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals, you will also get to see a whole host of Tanzania animals. Lions, cheetahs, leopards and more, expect to be blown away by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Day 5 on your Tanzania safari starts with a private drive to the famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This collapsed volcano creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation and is another Tanzania hotspot teeming with fantastic wildlife. After arriving at the crater rim, your expert guide will take you on a descent to the Ngorongoro Crater floor.

Take in the spectacular views of Africa at her finest: elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and – if you are lucky! – even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of Africa’s Big Five. Because of its natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders.

There is a wide range of additional activities to do in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including visiting a traditional Masai village.

Day 6 -10: Zanzibar

The last part of your trip is for rest, relaxation and revitalisation. Get picked up after breakfast and get ready to unwind and enjoy the laid-back beach life on the tropical Zanzibar Island. Zanzibar is paradisiacal. Miles and miles of white sandy beaches dotted with palm trees await, surrounded by the clear azure water of the Indian Ocean.

Enjoy the final days of your Tanzania experience at your own leisure. Explore the amazing coral reefs and swim among thousands of colourful tropical fish, grab a surfboard and hit the waves or simply lay back for a bit of sun worshipping – coconut in hand!

Day 10-11: Zanzibar - departure

Today will be at leisure to relax or explore, depending on your flight. Your driver transfers you to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight and on day 11 you will arrive back home.
